Life is complex – and so are you!
It’s time to discover what’s holding you back (it may not be YOU).
Find balance in your life, build positive relationships, and heal from past trauma. I’d love to help!
I have been married to my husband for 25 years – we were both unexpectedly widowed in our early 30s and navigated remarriage and blending our family. It has been a journey! I learned a lot about grief firsthand. Grief is not the same as “depression” and it encompasses a lot of different losses. I also learned, in working with female physicians, that most of them have not identified or processed loss or trauma in their lives – and that’s where I come in! I believe in the power of EMDR to help unlock those memories and events. My Life Coaching approach is through the lens of a professional counselor.
I teach Clinical Mental Health Counseling as a Core Faculty member and truly enjoy mentoring and training the next generation of counselors. It’s been a privilege to counsel, teach, train, and equip hundreds of counselors. I honestly thought I’d do this the rest of my life. Then 2020 came and with it, the pandemic that showed how telehealth could be utilized to support frontline workers, primarily female physicians. They were having to navigate all the household responsibilities that were previously outsourced along with the increased demand that was placed on them professionally. Their workloads got heavier, expectations were higher, and their stress levels went through the roof.
Motivated and passionate, these physicians wanted to serve their patients, but …what had worked for them previously, no longer fit. In 1995, my life was interrupted with a wake-up call which took me back to school to obtain my degrees in counseling. I had to learn to do life in a different way. What that journey and process taught me is what I use to help others to identify, prioritize, and heal.It is my joy to help physicians heal and prioritize their lives in sometimes a completely different way than they had imagined..
